Program:
This year’s theme is Supporting data-driven research spanning the translational spectrum with diverse dental, oral, and craniofacial data.
Day 1 of this year’s Forum will provide an update on FaceBase’s growth and explore research and data across the translational spectrum with a focus on Cleft Lip/Palate and Skull Formation/Craniosynostosis. These sessions will bring biomedical investigators, data scientists, clinicians, and data resource developers together to have a meaningful discussion of how data science can help facilitate translation.
We will also explore best practices for data stewardship and provide successful examples of data sharing and collaborations in FaceBase and provide a vision for using FaceBase to train future investigators. We will then cap the day off with an on-site poster session.
Day 2 will focus on examples of data reuse using FaceBase and two panels:
- Bridging Foundational, Translational, Clinical, and Public Health Research – Lessons Learned and Future Perspectives - Panelists across the translational spectrum will explore forward-thinking strategies for bridging foundational research with clinical applications and public health.
- Expanding FaceBase to Accommodate Research Needs for Integrated EHR, Imaging and -Omics Data - Discussions focus on expanding the FaceBase platform to incorporate curated Electronic Health Records, aiming to enhance research capabilities and collaborations.
Note: We are also offering an onsite Tutorial for Intramural Researchers on Monday, May 6th on the NIH Campus. Please visit the event page for more information!
